You’ll always be ready for a quick and effective session when you can play any articulation game you want with these cards! Used just like a regular deck of playing cards, these 52 playing cards each feature a picture and a word that contains voiced and voiceless “th” words in initial, medial, and final positions, perfect for drill-based speech therapy. Just print, laminate and you’ll have a quality set of cards ready for instant articulation activities whenever you need it!

SLPs know that we need to maximize the number of practice trials during our sessions.

Students know they just wanna have fun!

Combine both by playing engaging articulation games, including anything you could play with a regular deck of cards. Play any card game – Go Fish!, Crazy Eights, or Memory! I love playing War with these cards! Or, just use them like any articulation drill deck.

Here’s what’s inside:

  • 52 Color Cards featuring “th” words
  • 52 Black and White Outline Cards

Featuring voiced and voiceless “th” in all positions of words:

  • 15 initial voiceless “th” words
  • 11 medial voiceless “th” words
  • 15 final voiceless “th” words
  • 1 initial voiced “th” word
  • 7 medial voiced “th” words
  • 2 final voiced “th” words

Use these cards at any articulation level, whether you’re starting with words or ready to work on articulation carryover and generalization.

Here’s some reasons why other SLPs have loved these articulation playing cards:

♥ “My client’s have loved using this resource to play a variety of card games during our sessions. This cards are visually appealing as well as incorporate great target selections. Definitely recommend!” – Jade R.

♥ “I have several of these articulation playing card decks! I find they keep the kids’ attention as “playing cards” and not just regular drill pictures. I’ve used them in person and I can also use them for tele therapy and just share my screen so my clients can still get their repetitions in! Thank you!” – Heather T.

♥ “This is a great grab and go resource that I use often. It’s simple, but gets a lot of use! Thanks so much for a great resource to make my planning easier!” – Communication Blessings

I teach English Language Learners, and “th” is tough for them. I took four decks of the th-cards to class today, and 15 kids loved playing War and making sure their friends used the right pronunciation. Pictures are great for vocabulary development, too.

    Monica Blair R. – February 7, 2024

I’ve created my own cards for /r/ in the past, but it was worth the cost to save time! I primarily use these for random practice to promote generalization. War is a favorite game. Sometimes I’ll have a student work at the word level, and other times we’ll do sentence level (e.g., this is a …).
