This is a great packet to prepare your students for summer, for summer homework/activities, or for those of you who work with students in the summer! It has a fun summer theme and is great for a wide variety of students.
It contains:
-Summer-Themed Bingo
- 5 Bingo Boards, 16 Description Cards, 16 Picture Cards
- Use the Bingo Picture Cards and match them to the Description Cards to target summer themed vocabulary words!
-Summer-Themed Barrier Games
- 3 Picture Scenes, 1 page of item pictures, 1 page of instructions
- Students should sit around a table with a barrier between them. Books, file folders, or binders work well as barriers. Every player should have the same background and items. The players take turns giving the other players specific directions on how to arrange the materials in front of them. The goal of the game is to have all the players’ materials look the same at the end of the activity.
-Summer Board Games
- 2 in both color and black and white. You can use the black and white one as a do-a-dot if preferred.
-Summer Do-a-Dot Sheets (5)

-Summer Conversation Cards
- 17 sun cards with fun questions to discuss summer! Includes a blank page.
-Summer Black and White Homework/Worksheets
- Roll-a-Word (2): Write four articulation words in the boxes at the top. Have your students roll a die and cross the words off as they say each word.
- Fill the Beach/Stock the Shelves: Cut and glue activities that are perfect for articulation practice & homework. Write a word on each item beforehand.
- 100 Worksheet: A sunglasses worksheet to challenge your students to get 100 trials.
- Favorite Summer Things: Two worksheets (one with only drawing required) for your students to write/draw their favorite summer things.
- My Summer Break: A fun worksheet for your students to sequence, draw, and write about their summer break.
- Color the Summer Scene: 2 receptive language worksheets with directions.
- Bubble Chart Describing: Fill in each bubble with a description of various summer items. (6)
-Summer-Themed Books Booklist
- Contains 5 books with a summer theme. Print and send home as ideas for home, or use in your speech room! Black and white halfsheets!
-Build A Sentence
- Arrange the cards on the included mat to form summer-themed sentences. Great for practicing WH questions as well. Each sentence part is on a separate card (who, why, where, did what, when).
Activities with Visuals:
- 1) Summer Vocabulary Board
- Great for pre-teaching vocabulary and sending home!
- 2) All About Summer Story with Visuals
- 3) Summer Question Cards with Visual Answer Choices
- After reading the story with visuals, have your students answer the question cards using the visual answer choices.
-Compare/Contrast Sunglasses Activity
- Have your students compare and contrast the two pictures in the sunglass lenses. How are they similar and how are they different?
-Speech Reads Magazine
- Make a fun, end of the year magazine with your students. Discuss what they loved, what they learned, and what they remember from the year. Black and white, and no prep needed!!
-My Summer Bucket List
- A simple black and white sheet for your students to write things they want to do this summer in! Cute and simple.
-End of the Year Task Cards
- Use these task cards to remember and discuss various memories from the past school year.
