Elyssa R. –
Literally the best thing I have ever purchased for myself as an SLP. You know know how in every session you end up using a white board or a note card to sketch a quick visual for your students but it’s never pretty enough so you always throw it away and then end up making these sketches 10 times a day?? Well this resource replaces your stick figures for “remember, ‘Who’ means that we are looking for the person in the story” and all other wimpy drawings. This might be my favorite TPT purchase ever!
Kristin M. –
A great resource for ALL students on my caseload!

If I were a person who created resources, I’d want to create ones like Shannon does. These are the visuals I scribble on a white board every day–using these will be so much easier! I love that this product is clean, clear, no cutesy clip art, no hard-to-read fonts. It’s exactly what I need to teach and remind my clients about these concepts over and over again.

Erin Proffit –
Great product! I love how you think and address the needs of school based SLPs. Just sent to the printer! Love it!
Caitlin M. –
I love these visuals and find them to be extremely helpful during my sessions.
My only suggestion if you ever update is to make a separate file so there is an option for one visual per page. I like to print these for my students to keep in their notebooks/folders, but then I end up with an excess of visuals that I don’t need or I’m only using 1/4 of the paper to print copies of one visual.
Jade S. –
Can never have enough visuals!

Fantastic resource! Thank you so much. Kids loved it.
Nicole Lystne –
This is a great resource! I’ve printed out visuals for therapy sessions, to give to teachers, to tape in reading/writing notebooks, or even to tape onto student’s desks in their classrooms. The only thing that is kind of a bummer is that you have to print out three other visuals to get one you need, but I also don’t see a way around that other than putting four of the same visual on one page and creating files of extras as you print out the ones you need. It’s rare that there are two visuals I happen to need on the same page, but I often need more than one of the same visual. Overall, though, great product, and I would highly recommend!
Ilana G. –

I just purchased this product and started using it in therapy. It is very concise and hits all the major language areas we work on most with our students. I made copies a couple of weeks ago for one of the parents of my students. The parent saw me when I was on my way to pick up my speech students and she told me that the student enjoys using the “flashcards” I provided because they really help to break it down for her daughter. Positive feedback from student and family – can’t get any better than that!

So I am kind of addicted to visuals …. I already had a huge collection of visuals hanging all around me in my room and tucked into my therapy bag. I didn’t think I needed any more…. until a colleague recommended this resource. These visuals are FANTASTIC! I have already made a copy to hang by my table, a copy to put in my therapy bag, and I have made copies of specific visuals to tape to my students’ desks. Hands down my favorite visuals resource …. and that’s saying something since I have downloaded a LOT of visuals!

I’ve been using these in small group therapy sessions for vocabulary work and practicing parts of speech. I printed and cut the small cards for each student to reference in a little packet. Most of my students are not too excited to have to identify parts of speech, so the enthusiasm is not there. I recently collaborated with the classroom ELA teacher for 5th grade and she loved these little “cheat sheets”. Now all of 5th grade will use them. I love that they have this as a go-to resource and learning to seek it out indepedently.

Laura L. –
Really great comprehensive set of visuals. I have a lot of other products from Speech Musings, so it’s a bonus that they integrate seamlessly into those products. There are some I feel that were more helpful than the ones that came with related products (like the vocabulary strategies visual). I like that the graphics are all simple and there isn’t much in the way of young/cartoonish artwork. So I can bring out these visuals with high schoolers and kids in elementary. It’s nice there are small and large versions of visuals, although cutting out (and laminating) the smaller ones does includes a fair amount of prep.
Lisa A. –
