This no print file is the perfect grab and go therapy solution for receptive language. Includes all REAL PICTURES so it is appropriate for all ages, no kiddish clip art graphics!
The file includes six sections targeting:
- Object Identification
- Verb Identification
- Attribute Identification (size, shape, color, etc…)
- Function Identification
- Category Identification
- WH Questions (who, where, what)
Each section contains 20 slides (except Verb Identification, which only contains 15).
Each slide has two picture answer choices on it. The WH Questions section includes three picture answer choices.
You can use this on either a computer or an iPad! When using it in iBooks on the iPad, touching the correct answer will take you to the next slide. Incorrect answers will remain on the current slide. When you click on the correct answer of the last question in a section, you will automatically be redirected back to the slide that allows you to choose another topic.

Katie H. –
This is such a useful product for those basic language learners. My caseload consists of middle and high schoolers with multiple disabilities, and I was so surprised/impressed with how quickly my nonverbal and minimally verbal students were able to complete some of the tasks. The slides are very easy to swipe to the next page, so the SLP will have to keep on top of that. Also, there is no motivating factor after completing any slides or section, so plan to supplement with something. I think it’s a bonus to be simple in task and visual stimulation. LOVE all Speechy Musings products – You can’t ever go wrong!
Kathleen Z. –

Great boomcard!
Karyn K. –
This resource was great to use for remote learning! I had students use their AAC devices to tell me the answers while others were able to answer verbally or touch the answer. My kids were engaged and enjoyed the activities.
Andrea D. –
Because it’s interactive I have the parent tell me what the child is pointing to if they are on an iPad/tablet to probe for knowledge. It’s very much drill practice so it’s good to start with and then teach with real objects.
Lisa S. –
Great resource!
Cathy O. –
I used this with my younger elementary students. I like the basic graphics and font style and that each slide is not overly fussy. I like the art used as well; real pictures are always better than cartoon like graphics.

Jasmine M. –
I love the pictures and how everything is neatly laid out. My students loved it. Thank you!
Emily N. –
I really like this resource. A couple of things I’d change…I would like to be able to print it out. I would also like it if the screen didn’t move and change as kids point to items, sometimes my kiddos aren’t always accurate in their aim and if they miss the picture, it becomes large and distorted.
Megan S. –

This is a good resource that I’ve used to target noun identification for a student who needs a visually engaging material, and is supported in distance learning by an adult sitting next to her. It is good to collect some quick data and used on rotation for “learning to learn” skill practice. For this student, I have only used part of this resource, hence 4 stars instead of 5.
Heidi L. –
This worked well for me with my students who required a small field of choices.

I really prefer interactive PDFs to use with students both in person and via distance learning and this is no exception. I wish there were more trials with larger fields (>2) but it is helpful to use both in treating and assessment students/clients, and they love that it is “clickable” and the photos are real.
