Incredibly thorough and insightful to the goal setting process, and I think it will be inspiring as well, to many of my students who struggle with seeing beyond the ‘moment.’ Thank you for one of the most thoughtful, thorough, and sensitive packets you’ve done yet.

As the end of the school year comes to a close, I find it more challenging to keep my 8th grade students engaged in therapy in their last few weeks before transitioning to high school. This goal setting packet was AMAZING! Today, in one session, we completed three pages together, self-reflecting on our strengths and weaknesses and what my students’ professional and personal goals were. When one of my students had a difficult time coming up with his own strengths, his peer then described him and all of his strengths. I was in awe of their compassion toward each other’s future goals. Thank you for bringing out my student’s love for learning and bringing the WHY back into what we do as SLPs.

I don’t have many students who receive speech as their only service who are 7th grade and older, but when I do this is a great resource for completing the transition planning piece of their IEP.

I used this with a very difficult student that is very resistant to help from myself or any of her teachers. It gave me a guideline to at least help her with transition planning. She didn’t like it but at least I feel more comfortable seeing her and I feel like the vocabulary in the packet will be very beneficial.

I wish this had a answer key for vocab section page 23-29 and soft/hard skills pages 19-22 so students can independently check their work. Otherwise, it is a good resource that the teacher can plan many lessons with. I used it with students who were on grade level academically/cognitively, but have a physical disability which gives them special ed services for accessibility only.

My goodness, this resource is so great. I think it’s definitely best for older kids, but it is nicely leveled and I can use parts of this for older elementary too! It’s been a great tool to help me gain information in social skills therapy and try to develop intrinsic motivation and personal goals

I want my senior English students to leave my class with a fluid resume and cover letter. This unit was PERFECT for this zero week of school. We only have three days so while I am issuing Chromebooks and all that entails my senior scholars or working on real work to get an idea of what will be on those documents. I highly recommend this unit.
