After making and using my WH Questions Interactive Book every single day, I realized I needed the same concept to target prepositions and pronouns! So here it is!
This interactive book will help teach your students how to use correct pronouns (he, she, they) and prepositions of location (on top of, above, under, in, between, next to, behind, in front of). They will be practicing this skill with simple pictures, practicing everything in the here and now instead of answering hypothetical questions!
How does this book work?
Each page has a scene with a person and several items on it. For example, page 1 shows a boy with a bee above some books. Below each picture is a sentence strip with two interactive, Velcro ready boxes. For example, (who) sees a bee (where) books.” Your students will find the correct pronoun icon card and stick it to the “who” space (e.g. he) and continue with where to use the correct preposition. Then, the sentence strip will describe the picture (e.g. He sees a bee above books.)
Included is:
- 20 scene pages
- 4 backgrounds, tons of various kids, and 9 items that rotate throughout
- 20 icons (3 pronouns, 8 prepositions, 9 items)
- 3 icons for who, where, and what
- Icon storage page
- Directions for use
- Introduction pages (for teaching) including sorting and directions for the students
- An interactive Boom card™️ version of the book
You can find the link to the Boom cards™️ in the PDF file after downloading.
To assemble the physical interactive book, you will need a binder, lamination, and Velcro to assemble. Or, use a binding machine.

I love this book for practicing prepositions and pronouns. The graphics are great and the sentence strips are great visual tools. To help the student to know that they are to fill in the “where” and “who”, I may have made the graphics for each of these much smaller within the “sentence strips” as an additional cue that they needed to add their “answers”.

At the end, there are smaller pictures that can be used as an “exit” ticket before leaving the speech room or can be sent home as homework. The students love answering the questions by moving the pictures to add to the sentence and then “reading” the sentence below.
