This 18-page packet is a fun way to target sentence formulation with a fun, seasonal theme – Halloween!
To Play:
- Mix and match to create spooky sentences. Once a student has a complete sentence formed, you can experiment with word order. “Can you put the ‘when’ card last?” “What about the ‘who’ card?”
- The last sheet can be used as homework, or for your students to practice creating their own sentences! For an added challenge, make sure the pronouns on the ‘why’ match the gender on the ‘who’ cards!
Included:
- 12 ‘who’ cards with kids in Halloween costumes
- 28 ‘what’ cards with actions on them (ex: went trick or treating)
- 24 ‘where’ cards with places on them (ex: in a pumpkin patch)
- 8 ‘when’ cards (ex: yesterday)
- 24 ‘why’ cards (ex: because he wanted candy)
- Google Slides™️ version for teletherapy or digital sessions
- 1 visual/mat
- 1 homework page/worksheet

Love this product and my speech kiddos were so engaged and excited by the adorable pictures. My school does not allow us to print in color, but they are still cute pictures in black and white! The chart was very easy for my students to understand and use. We made up a song about the 5 ‘wh’ parts of a sentence and they were all singing it as they left my therapy room!! Perfect Halloween therapy activity!!
