Perfect spring themed resource.

This is one of my favorite themed units for spring. I used it across two weeks with my K through 3rd grade groups and every single session felt engaging. The insect content naturally lends itself to great describing, comparing, and sequencing practice. My students loved the caterpillar to butterfly sequencing page especially. The spatial concepts section was an unexpected bonus that I don’t see in a lot of other themed units. Really thorough and well thought out resource that I’ll be using again next spring for sure.

I’ve been an SLP for 8 years and bugs are one of those themes that always gets a reaction from students. This unit channels that excitement into real language work. The WH questions and affixes sections are solid and the vocabulary activites target words my students actually need.

The spatial concepts activities and insect describing pages are really well done. My students enjoyed learning about caterpillars and spiders while practicing their language skills. Great for spring therapy sessions when we can tie it to what they see outside.
