As always, Shannon’s resource was a huge hit with my kids. It covers so many goals and ability levels and is perfect for the students I see. I have a hard time finding things for middle school students with complex communication needs that aren’t babyish, but these activities are functional and at their level without being condescending. I’ll continue to buy each one she releases and recommend others do as well!

I loved the free themed units you released during the first Covid shutdown but have hesitated to buy one of the new units. I’m so glad I went for it this time! There is so much more than I expected and multiple pages of each type of activity. I have been pushing into the Autistic support class at my middle school and helping with cooking lessons and this is the perfect compliment for my pull out sessions with these kids. I think the rest of my caseload will enjoy these activities too. I love that you included separated PDFs and also the google slides versions too. I loved that this unit allowed for an inclusive learning topic given that I have a multiculturally diverse caseload. Kids enjoyed this unit and we ended with a cooking activity at school which they absolutely loved. I am seeing great results in my students with their vocbulary, expressive language, and sentence structure. So many of the cooking verbs are also multiple meaning words and figurative language, which serves many of my students. I can’t say enough positive comments about Speech Musings themed units.
