About Me!

“I believe that our students can do better when we do better.

I believe SLPs can and should love going to work.

I believe materials matter.

I believe SLPs can be great at what they do and have a life outside of being an SLP.”

If you do too, then join me on my mission to make SLPs more effective at their jobs in less time.

Hello and welcome!

d My name is Shannon and I am a pediatric speech-language pathologist currently living in the wonderful state of Wisconsin!!

This is me:

A few random facts about myself:

-My favorite foods are potato products and cheese.
-I love working with people with autism.
-I love the energy of children.
-I would describe myself as high energy, optimistic, passionate, and adventurous.
-I was an SLP-A here during my undergrad, and it was an absolutely amazing experience!

I started this blog in November of 2012 as a way to keep track of, and share, all of the ideas I’d been learning about through this crazy process we call graduate school! Later that year, I began making and selling my own materials. I absolutely love the creative process, and making things that work for me in therapy!

Thank you for reading. I’m so happy you’re here!

Feel free to contact me at speechymusings@gmail.com!

I do all of this because I am passionate about the children I work with and the work I do. Feel free to use any of my images or ideas as long as you credit the idea to me and link back to my blog!

Do you love all things SLP?

Are you also on Twitter? There is a huge gathering of other SLP bloggers there if you use the hashtag #slpbloggers 🙂
